The child predator fear:

NOTE: PLEASE CONSIDER THE INFORMATION BELOW

NCVS data on juvenile crime victimizations reported to police and other authorities indicate that:

  • Only 28 percent of violent crimes against juveniles become known to police

  • An additional 16 percent of violent crimes against juveniles are reported to some authority other than the police, mostly school officials.

FOR MORE INFORMATION: PLEASE GO TO http://www.ncjrs.gov/ and search for your query and read the statistics! They Are SHOCKING!!!

Considering these statistics, and the open nature of the internet, its very easy to see ho much fear parents these days have, and why. Their children meeting new people online, setting up appointments, and then the worst is to come. A participant of this documentary said: "My fear isn't that I have bad kids, my fear is that my good kids will make a bad descision, one bad judgment, and pay for it permanently". This is reality, if not monitored, kids (meaning EVERYONE who is younger that 18) can make a bad descision, and it would severly hurt them.
people think that kids that THINK they're are old enough, are old enough to have a computer in there room , to meet people you don't know about. That's wrong, im not saying that you should choke them into leaving the house to accsess the internet, but monitor, and keep them close, and TALK... thats the best thing to do in this situation.
